Want to take your yarn obsession to the next level? In this three-part class, you will learn the basics of spinning: drafting, creating a singles, making a 2-ply yarn, and chain plying. Each week, you will spin approximately 4 ounces of a variety of wool fibers. Cost is $255. This includes three weeks of wheel rental ($63) and approximately $40 in materials. If you own a spinning wheel, the cost is $192.
Class size is limited to 4 students.
About Wheel Rentals: If you end up loving spinning, you're welcome to rent a wheel for $21/week. If you'd like to purchase a wheel, you may credit up to $126 of the rental fees (6 weeks) toward your wheel purchase! This way you can try a few different models before making a decision.
